we took the opportunity to make a WhatsApp video call to Abah’s phone, and by coincidence, Azim and Abyana were with him at the time... it was a meaningful moment as we were able to show them our surroundings here and share stories about our journey so far... seeing their faces on the screen, exchanging smiles and conversations, helped bridge the distance between us and brought a sense of closeness despite being far away... the call allowed us to stay connected as a family, lifting our spirits and making the experience even more special through shared moments and heartfelt conversations...

Al-Shuyoukh
Al‑Shuyoukh particularly the area known for its rose farms and neighbourhood coffee spots, offers a calm and authentic experience that blends nature, local agriculture, and relaxed social life... located on the outskirts and highland areas of Taif, it is part of the region that benefits from Taif’s cooler climate and fertile soil, making it ideal for cultivating the famous Taif roses... the rose farms are especially active during the rose season, when we can see rows of blooming roses, learn about traditional harvesting methods, and discover how rose water and rose oil are produced... most rose farms operate in the early morning hours, from around 6:00 am to 10:00 am, when the roses are freshly picked and at their most fragrant... nearby, small local coffee shops providing a cozy place to relax after exploring the farms... what makes it special is the combination of natural beauty and simplicity - the fresh mountain air, the scent of roses, and the chance to enjoy Arabic coffee while overlooking quiet farms or local neighbourhood life... it is best appreciated at a slow pace, making it an ideal stop for us seeking a peaceful, atmospheric, and distinctly Taif‑style experience rather than a crowded tourist attraction...
