Visiting Azim and Abyana

we took the opportunity to meet Azim and Abyana at the SMADATA canteen... Naja prepared a simple spaghetti meal, but it was more than enough for us to enjoy the moment together... the time spent allowed us to reconnect, share laughter, and listen to their stories and experiences at the hostel... though brief, the meeting was meaningful, giving us a chance to be present, to listen, and to strengthen our bond as a family...

MRSM Serting National Series 1 Chess Championship

Azim once again represented SMADATA in the MRSM Serting National Series 1 Chess Championship for the Under-15 (U15) category... the tournament was conducted as an open competition, attracting a total of 404 participants from across the country... the event took place at Dewan Gemilang, MRSM Serting, and was played using the Rapid format, with each player given 20 minutes per game... competing at this level provided valuable exposure and experience, allowing him to test his skills against a large and diverse field of young chess players nationwide... each participant was required to complete 9 rounds of matches in the tournament... he started the competition strongly with consecutive victories in Round 1 against Adib Ilhan (SM Sains Lahad Datu) and Round 2 against Khalish (SK Bandar Anggerik, Shah Alam)... he faced his first setback in Round 3, losing to Hadif (SK Durian Tipus), but quickly regained momentum with wins in Round 4 against Roumysa (SK Cyberjaya) and Round 5 against Hariz Asyraf (SMK Tengku Besar, Tampin)... the later rounds proved more challenging, as Azim was defeated in Rounds 6, 7, and 8 by Keshvin (SK Tunku Muda), Al Fateh (SK Tuanku Muda), and Adam (SMKA Dato’ Haji Abu Hassan Haj), respectively... he ended the tournament on a positive note with a win in Round 9 against Ammar Rafiq (SRA Bersepadu)... overall, the competition provided him with valuable experience competing at a high national level against a large and diverse field of players...

MSSD Jelebu 2024 Chess Championship

Today marked the MSSD Jelebu Chess Championship, held at Dewan Semarak, MRSM Kuala Kelawang... SMADATA was represented in the Boys Under-15 category by Azim, Adam Darwish, Fuad Irsyadi, and Izz Irsyad... each participant was required to complete 7 rounds of matches... Azim began strongly, winning his first two rounds against Afiq Danish (SMKDUMA) and Jazim (SMKUJ), before losing in the third round to Aniq Syafie (MRSMKK)... he rebounded with victories in rounds four and five against Izham (SMKTH) and Danish Aqil (SMKDUMA), drew in round six with Chow (SMKDUMA), and concluded the tournament with a loss in round seven to Choo (SMKDUMA)... with a total of 4.5 points, he finished in seventh place, which meant he did not qualify for the next stage, MSSN... his teammate Adam Darwish secured fourth place and qualified for MSSN, while Fuad Irsyadi and Izz Irsyad finished in 21st and 23rd place, respectively... qualification aside, the most important takeaway from this tournament was the valuable experience gained by all participants, which will serve them well in future competitions...

Rehabilitation

rehabilitation session with Nafis was held at Ara Damansara Medical Centre, with the appointment starting at 11:00 am... this session focused more on strengthening the muscles through targeted exercises... although the pain was unavoidable - especially when using weighted equipment - it was something that had to be endured as part of the recovery process... each exercise was performed in two sets of 20 repetitions, requiring both physical effort and mental determination throughout the session...

Munir 47th

I have now reached the age of 47, a phase of life marked by greater reflection, balance, and acceptance... at this stage, I begin to value calmness over urgency and understanding over reaction, shaped by years of experience through both achievements and challenges... while physical strength may not be as strong as before, it is replaced by wisdom, patience, and emotional maturity... this year will undoubtedly bring its own tests, whether in health, work, or personal responsibilities, but I will be faced with composure and a steady heart... life is no longer about proving oneself, but about appreciating what truly matters, strengthening existing foundations, and moving forward peacefully with gratitude and quiet resilience...

Master Bedroom Tiles

one common problem faced by homeowners after several years - especially once the developer’s warranty has expired - is tile failure... due to prolonged pressure, natural expansion, or underlying structural movement, floor tiles may begin to lift, crack, or even break... unfortunately, this issue has occurred in my house, and several neighbours have experienced the same problem as well... as a result, tiles that could still be salvaged had to be carefully removed and reused, while broken or damaged tiles were replaced with new ones...

Meeting Ami Wan

Abyana was selected to join the Kadet Remaja at SMADATA... her uniform had mostly been prepared earlier - the shirt was purchased some time ago, while the trousers were only bought recently, just before Hari Raya Haji... the only item we had to purchase online was her headscarf, which was delivered to Abang Wan’s address... as we were unable to return to Jelebu today, we had to ask Abang Wan and Sofia to deliver everything to her on our behalf... usually, whenever the visit SMADATA, they would make sure to buy food for both Abyana and Azim... this time, though, what she really needed was a warm hug from her Ami Wan - and that was exactly what she received...

Community Programme: Trail of Champions

form 3 students attended the Community Programme: Trail of Champions at Kolej Komuniti Jempol, where they were given valuable exposure to various technical and vocational fields... throughout the programme, Azim participated in hands-on activities related to architecture and model-making, electrical and wiring systems, and automotive basics... the programme aimed to broaden his knowledge, spark interest in technical education, and provide early insights into potential career pathways in skilled industries...

Follow Up

first follow-up appointment with Dr Achdiat was conducted... a sterile basic dressing set was used, and the sutures were removed without complication... a 100 mm (4-inch) drain was applied under sterile conditions... the procedure was carried out smoothly, and the wound was managed appropriately... the sutured area no longer required dressing, as the wound had healed satisfactorily... the purpose of the drain was to allow excess fluid or blood to be expelled from the wound site, thereby reducing the risk of infection and promoting proper healing... I was granted a total of 27 days of hospitalization leave...

Red

Red is growing bigger with each passing day... as he grows, he has also become increasingly affectionate and loving... he is always around the house, faithfully keeping watch as if he were our little guardian... he constant presence brings comfort and joy to our home, and he truly feels like an important part of our family...

The Solemnization Ceremony of Hud and Athirah

the marriage solemnization ceremony took place in Taman Daya, Johor Bahru, beginning at 7:00 pm... heartiest congratulations to Abang Mahdi on welcoming his first daughter-in-law into the family... initially, we had made arrangements and reserved a place to attend this special occasion; however, due to an unfortunate accident, we were unable to be present... Nevertheless, our sincerest wishes and prayers are with the newlyweds - may their marriage be blessed with love, harmony, and everlasting happiness...

My Medication

today marks the beginning of my medication regimen as prescribed by the doctor, which includes medication to reduce swelling and relax the muscles... in addition to the prescribed medicine, I am also taking homeopathic remedies, which must be taken 30 minutes after the doctor’s medication... I will be following this schedule carefully to ensure the best possible recovery and to allow my body sufficient time to heal properly...
