the driver‑side power window suddenly stopped functioning, while the dashboard system kept restarting and showing repeated update prompts, making the drive increasingly frustrating... to avoid further issues, I headed straight to Lon G to have the problem checked... upon inspection, the technicians identified that the issue was related to a software glitch affecting the body control module, which is a known concern among some Proton X50 owners, especially after partial or interrupted system updates... in certain cases, power window failures are not caused by faulty motors or switches, but by outdated or unstable software interfering with window control commands... after performing a full update to the latest software version, both the power window and dashboard system returned to normal operation, resolving the issue completely... this experience highlights the importance of keeping the X50’s software up to date, as many electronic and convenience features - including power windows - are closely integrated with the vehicle’s overall system software...

SMK Puchong Permai

I was honoured to be invited to conduct a two‑hour session with the Form 5 students of SMK Puchong Permai this year, with the aim of motivating them as they prepare for the next phase of their academic journey... the session was designed to be highly interactive, focusing more on hands‑on activities, reflection exercises, and student participation rather than one‑way talking, allowing the students to engage actively and express their thoughts and aspirations... through these activities, students were encouraged to reflect on their strengths, interests, and goals, helping them gain clarity in choosing the right academic stream and making informed decisions about their future... it is my sincere hope that this exposure will help Form 5 students stay focused, build confidence, and approach their SPM examination with determination, positive mindset, and a clear sense of direction...

Abyana - Prefect

Abyana has been appointed as a school prefect at SMADATA for this year, an achievement that reflects the trust placed in her character, discipline, and leadership potential... as a prefect, she is responsible for assisting teachers in maintaining school discipline, setting a positive example for her peers, and helping create a safe, orderly, and respectful school environment... her duties include monitoring student behaviour, encouraging adherence to school rules, supporting school activities, and demonstrating good manners, responsibility, and integrity at all times... this role provides her with valuable opportunities to develop leadership skills, confidence, and a strong sense of responsibility as she serves both the school community and her fellow students... 

Outing and Overnight Schedule

this year’s outing and overnight programme for SMADATA students has been carefully planned to provide a balanced mix of learning, character building, and recreational experiences... the schedule includes day outings designed to expose students to new environments, strengthen teamwork, and encourage social interaction outside the classroom, as well as overnight programmes that emphasize independence, discipline, and responsibility... during the overnight activities, students are guided through structured sessions such as group activities, reflection segments, basic leadership tasks, and supervised bonding activities that promote cooperation and mutual respect... safety, supervision, and student well‑being are prioritized throughout the programme, with teachers and wardens closely involved at every stage... overall, the outing and overnight schedule aims to support students’ holistic development by fostering confidence, resilience, friendship, and meaningful learning beyond the school setting...

I had the opportunity to take photographs with colleagues and students, many of whom were dressed in red attire, symbolizing joy, prosperity, and good fortune... the simple yet vibrant decorations, combined with cheerful smiles and lively interactions, created a warm and celebratory ambience within the faculty... afterward, we made our way downstairs to join the larger UNITAR‑level celebration, where the festive spirit was further amplified, reflecting unity, cultural appreciation, and the harmonious diversity of the campus community...

UNITAR Berselawat 2025

this marked the first time UNITAR hosted a Malam Berselawat in conjunction with the celebration of Maulidur Rasul, made possible through the close collaboration between the UNITAR Muslim Society and the UNITAR Staff Club... the programme received a very positive response, including the kind agreement of Kumpulan Qasidah Ahbabul Akhyar from Maahad Tahfiz Darussalim, Sijangkang - kindly proposed by Soleh Barakbah - to enliven the evening with soulful selawat... the event was further enriched by the presence of Al-Fadhil Ustaz Harith Mustaqim bin Mohd Sabri, who graciously stepped in to deliver the talk in place of Al-Fadhil Ustaz Syed Abdul Bari, who was still in Mecca performing his Umrah... this meaningful gathering not only commemorated the birth of Rasulullah SAW, but also strengthened spiritual reflection, unity, and collaboration within the UNITAR community...
