the driver‑side power window suddenly stopped functioning, while the dashboard system kept restarting and showing repeated update prompts, making the drive increasingly frustrating... to avoid further issues, I headed straight to Lon G to have the problem checked... upon inspection, the technicians identified that the issue was related to a software glitch affecting the body control module, which is a known concern among some Proton X50 owners, especially after partial or interrupted system updates... in certain cases, power window failures are not caused by faulty motors or switches, but by outdated or unstable software interfering with window control commands... after performing a full update to the latest software version, both the power window and dashboard system returned to normal operation, resolving the issue completely... this experience highlights the importance of keeping the X50’s software up to date, as many electronic and convenience features - including power windows - are closely integrated with the vehicle’s overall system software...
