Final Tilawah Al‑Quran Screening

today marked the Final Tilawah Al‑Quran Screening for the Negeri Sembilan level, which was held at Dewan Majlis Bandaraya Seremban... the standard of participants was exceptionally high - many were children of former qari and qariah, while others have been undergoing formal tilawah training, making the competition both challenging and inspiring... although Abyana did not manage to pass the final screening today, the experience itself was invaluable... more importantly, it gave her the opportunity to gain exposure, build confidence, and become comfortable presenting herself on a competitive stage... this journey is a meaningful step in her personal growth, and it will surely strengthen her courage and motivation for future tilawah competitions...

Nasi Daging Dulang Berasap

it is located at Lot 7862, Jalan 4 Rizab Balai Raya, off Jalan Rizab Deraman, Kampung Bukit Hijau, Jeram, and it has recently gone viral on TikTok, which sparked our curiosity to give it a try... we decided to stop by and experience it for ourselves... I opted for the laksa, while Naja chose the signature nasi daging... overall, the food was genuinely tasty and satisfying - the nasi daging was flavourful, tender, and well‑balanced, living up to the hype... the laksa was enjoyable too, though it would be even better with a slight adjustment by reducing the sweetness in the gravy... still, it was a pleasant dining experience, made more enjoyable by the smoky aroma, rustic setting, and the excitement of finally trying a place that has been making waves on social media...

Red

Red has been affectionate since he was little, and that has never changed... the moment I get home, he is already waiting by the door, as if he knows exactly when I am about to arrive... every day, without fail, he insists on being petted and cuddled, seeking attention in the sweetest way... his constant need for affection isn’t a burden at all - it has become part of our daily routine, and a gentle reminder of the unconditional companionship and warmth he brings into our lives...

Save the Ocean

the Bachelor of Business Administration programme conducted a UNITAR Social Responsibility activity at the Faculty of Business level at Pantai Bagan Lalang... students from my Training & Development and Corporate Social Policy courses were actively involved in the programme, with many of them travelling together on the UNITAR bus, fostering a strong sense of teamwork and camaraderie... I travelled separately by car with Hazezul, allowing flexibility in coordination... the programme ran smoothly from start to finish, with good participation, clear organization, and positive engagement from the students, reflecting well on their commitment to social responsibility and experiential learning beyond the classroom...

ustazah shared photos of Abyana’s classmates at school, capturing sweet moments of friendship and togetherness among the students... the images reflected a warm and positive environment, showing the girls smiling, interacting, and supporting one another in their daily school life... seeing these snapshots brought a sense of reassurance and happiness, highlighting the close bonds formed in the classroom and the caring guidance provided by the ustazah... it was a comforting reminder that she is surrounded by good friends and a nurturing school community...

Cake Celebration

we held a small, simple celebration for Abyana’s birthday together with Furqan, making it a belated but heartfelt occasion... the cake was bought earlier in Bahau, and although the celebration was modest, the atmosphere was filled with warmth and happiness... laughter, cheerful chatter, and smiling faces lit up the moment as the children enjoyed being together, sharing cake, and capturing memories... it was a joyful scene - proof that what matters most is not the scale of the celebration, but the love, togetherness, and genuine happiness shared among them...

Splashing Around

after finishing tidying up Tok Umi’s grave, the children headed straight to a nearby river... naturally, that became the highlight of the day -  laughter echoed, shoes came off, and everyone relaxed as they played and splashed around together... surrounded by their cousins, the atmosphere shifted from solemn reflection to joyful togetherness, reminding us that family moments often balance remembrance with resilience, sadness with simple happiness shared side by side...

Tidying Up Tok Umi’s Grave

Tok Umi, who was born on 13 July 1928, passed away on 16 October 2024, the same day as Abyana’s birthday... on that very day, I was also preparing the official permission letter to allow Azim and Abyana to leave the hostel so they could attend Tok Umi’s funeral... today, in remembrance and respect, the KamaNoran family came together to tidy up and maintain Tok Umi’s grave, a simple yet meaningful act of love, remembrance, and filial duty that reflects our continued prayers and gratitude for her life...

Abyana and Walid

Abyana is truly very affectionate with me, and our bond feels natural, warm, and deeply rooted... it is often said - and frequently observed - that Azim tend to be closer to Naja, while Abyana naturally gravitate towards me... this closeness goes beyond simple affection; it reflects a sense of comfort, emotional security, and trust that grows quietly over time... the relationship between me and her is often gentle and protective, leaving a lasting imprint that shapes her confidence and sense of self... watching our bond is a reminder of how meaningful my presence is in her’s life, becoming a steady source of strength and reassurance as she grows...

Abyana celebrates her 13th birthday at the hostel together with her classmates, a simple yet meaningful moment filled with friendship and warmth... we sincerely thank the ustazah for taking the initiative to organize this celebration - it means a great deal to her and brings comfort to us as parents... may Allah SWT bless her with strong faith, good health, and a heart that remains kind and grateful, guide her in studies and friendships, protect her wherever she is, and grant her a future filled with knowledge, confidence, and barakah...

End of Umrah

our Umrah journey for this year has come to an end, and we pause with hearts full of gratitude... thank You, ya Allah, for honouring us by accepting us as Your guests, for allowing us to stand in Your sacred places, and for easing every step of our worship... we are deeply thankful for the tranquillity, reflection, and strength You placed in our hearts throughout this journey... with humble hope, we pray that this is not our last - may You grant us the opportunity to return again, by Your permission, together with Azim and Abyana, to experience once more the beauty of being close to You... accept from us what was sincere, forgive our shortcomings, and allow the memories of this Umrah to guide us towards better faith and deeds in the days ahead...
