Walid

what matters most is being able to spend time with Walid during the blessed month of Ramadhan and on Hari Raya, as his presence and well‑being are my greatest priority... Walid has encouraged me to visit Ami Mohd’s house for Raya tomorrow, as he has asked several times why I have not been able to attend his open house... in the past, I often gave the same gentle reason - that I was spending Raya with Walid... this year is no different, as Walid has been resting at home most of the time and does not have the strength to go out visiting... being by his side during this period means a great deal to me, and I sincerely hope and pray that Walid is continuously blessed with good health, comfort, and strength, so that we may continue to share these meaningful moments together...

Aidilfitri 2025

this year’s Raya theme was set against the iconic Masjid Zahir in Alor Setar, complemented by the lush greenery of Taman Rimba Alor Setar, creating a calm and meaningful festive backdrop... our Hari Raya celebration was kept simple, as we visited only close relatives and neighbouring homes, focusing on togetherness rather than long journeys... the atmosphere was warm and intimate, filled with heartfelt greetings, shared laughter, and moments of reflection... despite its simplicity, the celebration felt deeply fulfilling, embodying the true spirit of Raya through gratitude, connection, and cherished time with loved ones...

Taman Koperasi

with just one more day left before the end of fasting, we decided to head out for a light drink that evening at Taman Koperasi, choosing to walk from our home in Taman Jaya instead of driving... the leisurely walk led us to Souk Al‑Bukhari, where we spent some time strolling around and browsing the items on sale during the final week of the bazaar... the atmosphere was calm yet lively, filled with people making last‑minute purchases ahead of the festive season... we deliberately avoided driving into town, as the roads have been especially congested lately, making this short walk a much more relaxed and enjoyable way to spend the evening...

X50 Service 60K

I sent my car to HZN Kelana Jaya for its 60,000‑kilometre service, following my usual routine of dropping it off in the morning, heading to the office, and collecting it once the service was completed... this major service covered several essential components to ensure the car’s performance, safety, and comfort... the 5L Proton Genuine Oil 5W30 SP (RM189.00), together with the oil filter (RM50.25) and drain plug gasket (RM5.26), was replaced to maintain proper engine lubrication and prevent wear... the petrol filter with ground cable assembly (RM83.80) and fuel system cleaner (RM30.00) were serviced to ensure clean fuel flow and efficient combustion... for comfort and cooling efficiency, the air‑conditioning core filter (RM69.00) and 1.5L radiator coolant (RM135.45) were replaced, helping to improve cabin air quality and regulate engine temperature...

in terms of safety, the front brake pads (RM329.89) and brake discs (RM208.73) were replaced to restore effective braking performance, while wheel alignment, brake pad labour (RM86.40 inclusive of RM6.40 in service tax), and brake disc labour (RM86.40 inclusive of RM6.40 in service tax) ensured proper installation and handling stability... additional services such as air‑conditioning servicing (RM129.60 inclusive of RM9.60 in service tax), engine wash (RM45.00), car wash (RM28.00), and windscreen cleaner (RM2.00) were also carried out to maintain overall cleanliness and driving comfort... the labour charges for the 60,000‑kilometre service (RM162.00 inclusive of RM12.00 in service tax) covered all related workmanship... the total cost amounted to RM1,646.80, inclusive of RM34.40 in service tax, making this a comprehensive maintenance session to keep the vehicle in optimal condition... upon returning home, we headed straight to a Korean restaurant in Puncak Alam to enjoy a well‑deserved meal together... the cozy setting and inviting atmosphere provided the perfect place to unwind after a long day, while the comforting aromas of Korean cuisine added to the experience... sharing a warm and satisfying meal not only allowed us to relax, but also made the simple moment feel special, turning it into a pleasant and memorable end to the day...

Bubur Lambuk

this initiative reflects the faculty’s commitment to cooking, packaging, and distributing bubur lambuk to the Kelana Jaya community in support of UNITAR’s Corporate Social Responsibility efforts at the faculty level... the preparation of bubur lambuk involved a well‑coordinated process that began with sautéing blended spices - such as onions, garlic, ginger, dried chillies, and selected herbs - together with meat to create a rich and aromatic base... rice was then added along with water or stock and cooked slowly while being stirred continuously to achieve a smooth, porridge‑like consistency... coconut milk and traditional spices were incorporated to enhance the flavour, followed by seasoning to ensure balance and taste... once fully cooked, the bubur lambuk was allowed to cool slightly before being hygienically portioned, packed, and distributed... this meaningful activity not only preserved a cherished local tradition but also fostered teamwork, volunteerism, and a strong sense of social responsibility among faculty members...

Selangor Fruit Valley

with the combined classes led by 3 lecturers - myself, Amri, and Munira as the project leader - we successfully carried out a learning visit at this site, with the primary focus on the onion production area, particularly the making of rose onion... during the visit, students were exposed to the step‑by‑step process of producing, beginning with the careful selection of fresh onions to ensure quality and consistency... the onions are peeled, cleaned, and sliced finely to achieve the characteristic layered texture... the slices are then gently separated and shaped by hand into a rose‑like form before being lightly coated with seasoned flour... once prepared, they are deep‑fried at a controlled temperature to achieve a crispy texture and golden colour without compromising flavour... the final stage involves cooling and proper packaging to maintain freshness and shelf life... this hands‑on exposure allowed students to better understand small‑scale food processing, quality control, hygiene practices, and value‑added product development, making the learning experience both practical and meaningful...

X50 - New Tire

the front tires had already worn bald, signaling that it was time for a replacement... from October 2022 until March 2025, the tires lasted just over 2 years, which is a reasonable lifespan given regular use... the replacement process involved rotating the rear tires to the front, while the new tires were installed at the rear to ensure better balance and longer tread life... after comparing prices at several tire shops, the price difference was minimal, so I proceeded with the replacement at Lon G... I replaced 2 tires with Continental brand sized 215/55R18, priced at RM581.00 per tire... in addition, wheel alignment, balancing, and nitrogen (N₂) servicing were charged at RM135.00, which included a RM10.00 service tax... the total cost amounted to RM1,297.00... going forward, it is important to set aside savings in advance for the next tire change when the rotated tires eventually wear out...
