effective April 2026, the implementation of the BUDI95 initiative introduces a 200‑litre monthly limit for RON95 fuel usage per eligible recipient as a data‑driven and fiscally responsible measure to strengthen targeted subsidy delivery... government fuel‑consumption data indicates that nearly 90% of Malaysian motorists consume less than 200 litres of RON95 per month, with average monthly usage ranging between 98 and 100 litres, demonstrating that the revised limit adequately meets normal commuting needs without affecting the majority of users... furthermore, real‑world driving analysis shows that an average passenger vehicle operating at approximately 14 km per litre would require only about 150 to 160 litres per month to cover typical commuting distances of 2,000 to 2,300 km, reinforcing the sufficiency of the 200‑litre allocation... by maintaining the subsidized price of RM1.99 per litre while adjusting the quota, this policy safeguards cost‑of‑living support for eligible citizens, curbs subsidy leakages, and helps manage a national fuel subsidy burden projected to rise to RM4 billion per month amid elevated global crude oil prices...

Budi95 200 Litres
this adjustment to the BUDI95 fuel quota has been justified by the government in light of escalating geopolitical tensions arising from the Iran - US Israel conflict, which has significantly affected global oil markets... while a gradual reduction - for instance from 300 litres to 250 litres - might have softened the impact, the immediate cut of 100 litres to a 200‑litre monthly limit has inevitably placed additional pressure on urban commuters... for those residing in cities, where daily travel from home to office involves long distances and persistent traffic congestion, the effects are unquestionably felt... nevertheless, as responsible citizens, there is little choice but to accept and endure the burden imposed by circumstances beyond control... as is often the case, many armchair experts will offer confident opinions and alternative views... on a personal note, with the vehicle fuel level already at half, it became necessary to rely on Naja’s BUDI95 allocation to refuel fully before 1 April, as the remaining 13.576 litres would clearly be insufficient... in times such as these, resilience and patience become the only means to face the challenge ahead...

Beehive
as soon as I arrived home, my neighbour informed me that there was a beehive on my henna tree... I was completely surprised, as there was no sign of it earlier that Sunday morning when I took out the rubbish... the hive was quite large and located at body height, which posed a serious danger to anyone passing by, especially children... I immediately contacted the Volunteer Fire Brigade, who arrived at my house at 10:30 pm... the method used to remove the beehive involved burning it entirely... I am truly grateful for their assistance... for residents in the Saujana Utama, Sungai Buloh, and Puncak Alam areas, they may be contacted at +6017‑654‑6664...

Back to SMADATA
the school holidays have now come to an end, and it is time for Azim and Abyana to return to their hostel... this time, they were able to obtain a bus slot departing from the PPD Hulu Langat, so there was no need to travel to Seremban, as several students withdrew from the bus arrangement... the bus departed at 2:45 pm and arrived at SMADATA at 5:00 pm... it is hoped that Azim and Abyana will continue to achieve success in their studies, especially as the mid-year examinations are scheduled to take place in mid-April...

X50 Service 90K
an appointment for my car service was made last Wednesday, and I was scheduled for a routine 90,000‑kilometre service today at 9:30 am... I registered at the service counter at 9:00 am, and my car was taken into the workshop at 10:00 am... the service was handled by Wan Nur Hadi and was completed at 11:30 am... the total charge amounted to RM848.79, inclusive of RM21.60 service tax... the cost covered the replacement of a drain plug gasket (RM5.26) to prevent oil leakage, an air filter (RM68.32) to ensure clean airflow into the engine, and a 5-litre Proton Genuine 5W30 fully synthetic engine oil (RM194.00) to lubricate and protect engine components... An oil filter (RM50.25) was also replaced to remove impurities from the engine oil, while 4-litre Shell Spirax S5 DCT 10 transmission oil (RM237.36) was used to maintain smooth and efficient gear operation... in addition, windshield cleaner (RM2.00) was added to improve driving visibility, air conditioning servicing (RM162.00) was carried out to ensure optimal cooling performance and air quality, and labour charges (RM129.60) were applied for the overall inspection, maintenance, and replacement work performed during the service...

SKTU Memories
these photos capture our cherished memories from our time at SKTU... back then, Iskandar Muda was the only one who really enjoyed taking pictures with a camera, so special credit goes to him for preserving and sharing these precious old photographs with us... some of the photos were taken during his birthday celebration at KFC Alor Setar... although not everyone could make it that day, many familiar faces were still present... the final photo was taken during a group picnic outing... we apologize for the limited number of pictures, as not everyone owned a camera in those days... nevertheless, these moments remain some of the most beautiful and unforgettable memories for all of us...
Single Cold Faucet
it feels like the single cold faucet at the sink had been in use for a long time, and over the years, the water flow slowly became weaker as the internal passage narrowed... today, I finally decided to replace it after buying a new one from a hardware store and installing it myself... a single cold faucet made from stainless steel is a practical and durable fixture designed for everyday use... known for its resistance to corrosion and rust, stainless steel ensures long‑lasting performance while maintaining a clean and modern appearance... this type of faucet is ideal for kitchens, wash areas, and outdoor settings where a simple, reliable cold‑water supply is required... its minimalist design not only enhances functionality but also complements a wide range of interior and utility spaces... once the job was done, the difference was immediately noticeable - the water flowed smoothly and much faster... that old single cold faucet had truly served its purpose well, but this time, replacing it was definitely necessary...

PLUS - WCE
today, we made our way back home as Naja had to return to work tomorrow... we set off after lunch, hitting the road around 1.30 pm... a quick look at Waze showed heavy traffic almost everywhere, so as usual, I just followed its recommended routes - after grabbing an Ice Americano first, of course... we enter the PLUS Highway at Alor Setar Selatan, continued via the Gurun exit, and took the usual roads to avoid the worse congestion on the highway before re‑entering PLUS at Sungai Petani Selatan... the journey was fairly smooth until after the Juru toll, where traffic started to build up... we stopped at Sungai Bakap to refuel, then switched things up by taking the WCE highway via the Changkat Jering exit... after a brief stop to perform jamak prayers at the WCE toll area, we continued straight towards Kuala Selangor... apart from some congestion there, the drive was manageable... as usual, the entire journey took about 8 hours - and once we reached home, we went straight to sleep...
5 Science 1 Mini-Reunion
today, I had the opportunity to reunite with my former classmates from 5 Science 1 at Aroi’d Café, located at no. 11, Lorong Putih 9, Taman Rakyat Mergong, is a popular dining spot known for its inviting ambience and flavourful Thai-inspired cuisine... although the gathering was small, it was meaningful, with only Azwan, Afizam, Sharizam, Asnizam, Syafiq Sham, Izral, Khairil, and myself in attendance... we spent the time sharing stories, reminiscing about old memories, and exchanging the latest updates about our friends and former teachers, making the reunion both nostalgic and memorable...

Alor Setar
we left home around 3.00 pm yesterday and hit the road via the PLUS highway... as expected, traffic was pretty crazy - lots of cars and long stretches of congestion, but at least it was still moving... every time the Smart Lane was activated, I didn’t think twice about using it... we kept our stops simple: just enough to perform jamak prayers at rest areas, skipping the usual R&R stops altogether... dinner was a quick one at a petrol station... honestly, the traffic heading south from the north was something else - definitely a test of patience... after a long 8‑hour journey, we finally reached Lid’s place, and it was straight to bed...
today is much slower and calmer... breakfast and lunch were enjoyed at home with Lid - breakfast from Kopitiam Alor Setar and lunch at Darulaman stadium... we even managed a short stroll at Aman Central, where Azim and Abyana had a great time...
in the afternoon, we went visiting at Pah’s house and enjoyed a comforting bowl of bihun sup daging... this raya in Alor Setar was mostly about resting and spending time at home with Lid, who wasn’t quite up for going around much... to family members and close friends we couldn’t visit, we truly apologize - hopefully there will be another chance soon...
Visiting Mak
every time I return to Alor Setar, visiting Mak’s grave is something I never fail to do... it is a moment of reflection, love, and prayer - an opportunity to remember her sacrifices and to seek Allah SWT’s mercy for her soul... in my prayers, I humbly ask, “ya Allah, forgive my mother, have mercy on her, grant her peace, and pardon her... ya Allah, make her grave one of the gardens of Paradise”... through this act of remembrance, I find peace, knowing that my prayers continue to connect me to her beyond this world...

Siblings
we share photos of our own families, each image telling a small story of love, growth, and togetherness... through these shared moments, distance fades and our bond as brothers and sisters is strengthened, reminding us that family remains close at heart, even when we are captured in different frames...
KamaNoran
this time, KamaNoran family photo feels slightly incomplete, as only Kak Long’s family is not present in the picture... even so, the moment still reflects our togetherness and shared memories, while gently reminding us that family bonds remain strong beyond a single photograph, to be completed again in the moments we look forward to sharing in the future...
