AKTAR provides systematic training that integrates tajwid accuracy, tarannum melodies, voice projection, breath control, and emotional expression, ensuring that recitation adheres to both technical correctness and artistic beauty... the academy serves students of various age groups, including children and youth identified with potential, as well as contestants preparing for state and national‑level tilawah and hafazan competitions... in adapting to contemporary needs, AKTAR has also implemented online coaching sessions, with more than a hundred structured virtual trainings conducted to help participants refine their recitation and performance readiness... its effectiveness is reflected in Negeri Sembilan’s repeated successes at national tilawah events, where AKTAR‑trained participants have contributed significantly to the state’s achievements... overall, AKTAR stands as a comprehensive model of Al-Quranic talent development, emphasizing discipline, consistency, and excellence in the noble art of tarannum...

Murajaah

Azim and his classmate take part in murajaah every morning before classes begin, making it an important and meaningful routine in their daily school life... murajaah refers to the systematic revision and repetition of knowledge that has already been learned, most commonly associated with the recitation and memorization of the Al-Quran, but it also reflects a disciplined approach to learning in general... by engaging in murajaah early in the morning, when the mind is fresh and distractions are minimal, he is able to strengthen his memory, improve accuracy, and build confidence in what he has previously studied... this regular practice helps prevent forgetting, reinforces understanding, and develops consistency and self‑discipline... conducting murajaah together with a classmate also encourages peer support and motivation, as students can correct one another, share reminders, and maintain focus... overall, morning murajaah prepares students mentally and spiritually for the day ahead, fostering a calm, focused mindset that supports both academic learning and personal growth before formal lessons begin...

we celebrated the birthday of the Program Leader for the Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) programme, covering both conventional and online modes, through a heartfelt surprise organized by the faculty... the surprise created a warm and joyful atmosphere, reflecting the strong sense of teamwork and collegiality within the faculty... it also served as a meaningful opportunity for colleagues to come together, express gratitude, and strengthen professional bonds beyond formal academic roles... the event not only marked a personal milestone for the PL but also highlighted the faculty’s culture of recognition, respect, and unity in supporting academic leadership...

Tutorial: Culture

the tutorial session focused on workplace culture across different countries and was designed as an interactive, student‑centred learning activity... at the start of the tutorial, I personally selected and listed several countries, ensuring a diverse mix representing different regions, economic systems, and cultural backgrounds... students were then divided into small groups and were tasked with conducting guided online research using credible internet sources... their objective was to gather information on workplace culture in the assigned countries, including aspects such as communication styles, attitudes towards hierarchy and authority, working hours, teamwork, decision‑making practices, punctuality, and work–life balance...

during the tutorial, students were encouraged to compare and contrast cultural practices between countries, identify similarities and differences, and reflect on how cultural norms influence employee behaviour and management practices... the activity also required students to interpret information critically, summarize key findings, and relate them to theoretical concepts discussed in class, such as cross‑cultural management and global business practices... throughout the session, guidance was provided to ensure students remained focused, used appropriate sources, and linked real‑world examples to academic ideas... overall, this tutorial activity promoted active learning, digital literacy, teamwork, and global awareness, while helping students develop a deeper understanding of how cultural differences shape workplace environments in an increasingly international business context...

the 70,000‑kilometre car service at Lon G Puncak Alam involved several essential maintenance tasks aimed at ensuring optimal vehicle performance, safety, and longevity... the service included the replacement of 5 litres of Proton Genuine Oil 5W‑30 SP (RM189.00), which lubricates engine components, reduces friction, regulates engine temperature, and protects against wear... the oil filter (RM50.25) was changed to ensure contaminants and sludge are removed from the engine oil, while the drain plug gasket (RM5.25) was replaced to prevent oil leaks and maintain a secure seal... a new air filter (RM68.30) was installed to allow clean air into the engine for efficient combustion and improved fuel efficiency, and windshield cleaner (RM10.00) was replenished to maintain clear visibility during driving... in addition to part replacements, the service covered the standard 70,000‑kilometre labour charge (RM84.25 including service tax RM6.24), along with an air purifier service: ozone standard (RM61.55 including service tax RM4.56) to eliminate odours, bacteria, and pollutants from the cabin air‑conditioning system, improving in‑car air quality... a brake cleaning service (RM64.80 including service tax RM4.80) was also carried out to remove brake dust and debris, enhancing braking efficiency and reducing noise... Altogether, the total amount paid (RM533.40 including service tax RM15.60) completing a comprehensive maintenance package for the vehicle at this mileage milestone...

Online Session

the routine of conducting online sessions for working students can be physically and mentally demanding, as classes are held after full working hours, often stretching from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm and continuing again from 8:30 pm to 10:30 pm... despite the fatigue that naturally comes after a long day at work, both students and me are required to remain focused and committed throughout these extended hours... nevertheless, regardless of the challenges, the responsibility as an educator is carried out with professionalism, dedication, and a strong sense of duty... ensuring that lessons are delivered effectively, students are supported, and learning outcomes are achieved remains a priority, reflecting a deep commitment to education and the shared goal of lifelong learning...

 

Night Prep

night prep activities for hostel students, which involve group revision sessions under the supervision of the class teacher, play a vital role in supporting both academic progress and personal development... during these sessions, students are given structured time to revise lessons collaboratively, exchange ideas, and help one another better understand difficult topics in a focused and supportive environment... the presence of the teacher provides guidance, ensures discipline, and allows students to seek immediate clarification, which helps prevent misunderstandings and reinforces effective study habits...

beyond academic benefits, prep sessions help cultivate self‑discipline, time management, and a strong sense of responsibility, especially important for boarding students who follow a structured daily routine... shared experiences, such as Azim and his classmates enjoying fried rice with chicken chop sponsored by one of the parents, further strengthen bonds among students and boost morale, creating a positive and motivating atmosphere... overall, prep activities are not merely revision periods; they are an essential platform for nurturing academic consistency, teamwork, emotional well‑being, and holistic student growth, contributing meaningfully to students’ long‑term success both in school and beyond...

Azim gained hands‑on experience in changing a motorcycle tire through a TVET programme designed for Form 4 students, and activities like this offer significant benefits to secondary school learners... TVET‑based activities emphasize practical, experiential learning, allowing him to apply knowledge directly rather than relying solely on classroom theory... through real‑world tasks, he develops technical competence, problem‑solving abilities, and manual skills, while also building confidence in handling tools and machinery safely... such early exposure helps him identify his interests and strengths in vocational and technical fields, enabling more informed decisions about future education and career pathways... in addition, TVET activities nurture important soft skills such as discipline, responsibility, teamwork, and independence, all of which are essential for both employment and daily life... overall, TVET programmes at the secondary school level help produce more well‑rounded, career‑ready students who are better prepared for the demands of the modern workforce and lifelong learning...
