UNITAR 24th Convocation

yesterday’s convocation was dedicated exclusively to UNITAR graduates, conducted in 2 sessions - a morning session and an afternoon session... today, the ceremony continued for KLMUC and Cosmopoint graduates, but involved only a morning session, as the number of graduates was smaller... we checked out of the hotel at 7:00 am and proceeded straight to PICC to prepare for the day... as expected, today’s session started slightly later than scheduled due to the lighter crowd... once all food and beverage arrangements were confirmed and settled, I headed straight back, concluding my responsibilities for the convocation smoothly and efficiently...

Chef Usri

we had the pleasure of meeting Chef Usri at the hotel’s Coffee House, and it turned into a warm and memorable encounter... despite his distinguished background as a former chef at Sime Darby Convention Centre, he was very humble and welcoming... in a generous gesture, he treated us to a meal, turning a casual meeting into a moment of genuine hospitality... sharing food and conversations with him added a personal touch to our stay, reflecting not only his culinary background but also his gracious character and passion for connecting with people through food...

16th Anniversary

Alhamdulillah for 16 years of marriage, a journey shaped by Allah SWT’s mercy, patience, and countless unseen blessings... through seasons of ease and trial, joy and quiet endurance, Allah SWT has held our hearts together and taught us the meaning of sabr, shukr, and responsibility toward one another... as we mark this milestone, we pray that our union continues to be filled with barakah, guided by faith, strengthened by forgiveness, and softened by compassion... may Allah SWT keep love alive in our hearts, grant us wisdom in our words, tranquility in our home, and reunite us not only in this world, but among those who walk together into Jannah...

Pulse Grande Hotel

each member of the convocation committee is provided with a hotel room by UNITAR as part of the official arrangements... this initiative helps ensure that we are well‑rested and can focus fully on our responsibilities throughout the event, especially given the long hours and the 2‑day schedule... the accommodation also allows for smoother coordination, timely attendance, and overall efficiency in managing the convocation proceedings...

we were selected to stay at Pulse Grande hotel, a 5‑star deluxe hotel located at Taman Putra Perdana, Precinct 1, Putrajaya, overlooking the heart of Malaysia’s federal administrative capital... strategically set on a green hilltop enclave, the hotel offers a tranquil resort‑style atmosphere while remaining close to key landmarks such as Putra mosque, Perdana Putra, and PICC, making it especially convenient for our convocation... formerly known as the Putrajaya Shangri‑La hotel, the property was opened in 2003 and is owned by Putrajaya Leisure and Services Group Sdn Bhd (PULSE Group); it was officially rebranded as Pulse Grande hotel in January 2018 as part of the group’s hospitality expansion strategy... known as a hotel in a park and a park in a hotel, it features elegant rooms, landscaped gardens, fine dining outlets, a spa, gym, and an infinity saltwater pool, offering both comfort and calm - an ideal setting for us requiring rest and focus during a busy convocation schedule...

Rehearsal

after completing the car servicing, I headed straight to PICC to ensure that food and beverages for the staff were properly arranged, as today was the rehearsal day ahead of the convocation ceremony starting tomorrow... for this year’s convocation, Amri and I decided to stay at a nearby hotel, as the event spans 2 days... the first day is dedicated to UNITAR graduates, while the second day is for graduates from KLMUC and Cosmopoint... this arrangement reflects the recent merger of UNITAR with KLMUC and Cosmopoint, under which the former institutions will now operate as UNITAR University College and UNITAR College, marking an important new chapter in the institution’s history and graduation ceremonies...

X50 Service 50K

it was time to carry out the 50,000‑kilometre scheduled service, so I sent the car to HZN Kelana Jaya... after completing the registration process, I headed straight to the office, which is conveniently located near UNITAR and within walking distance... for this service, several key maintenance items were replaced, including 5 litres of Proton Genuine Engine Oil 5W‑30 SP (RM188.98), oil filter (RM50.25), drain plug gasket (RM5.26), air filter (RM68.32), and windshield washer fluid (RM10.00)... an engine wash (RM45.00) was also performed, along with the standard 50,000‑kilometre service procedures (RM84.24, include service tax of RM6.24)... these services are important to ensure optimal engine lubrication, maintain clean airflow to the engine, prevent oil leaks, improve windshield visibility, and support overall engine efficiency, performance, and longevity... the servicing helps keep the vehicle running smoothly, reduces wear and tear, and maintains safety and reliability for daily use... the total cost for the service was RM452.05, and the entire process was completed smoothly and efficiently...

Farewell of Shazli

we gathered to celebrate a farewell for Shazli at Sukiya, Paradigm Mall, in a warm and relaxed setting filled with good food and meaningful conversations... the atmosphere was cheerful yet heartfelt, as colleagues came together to share memories, laughter, and words of appreciation for his time with us... over a satisfying Japanese meal, we reflected on shared experiences and wished him success and happiness in his next chapter... it was a simple but memorable gathering - one that captured gratitude, camaraderie, and sincere well‑wishes as we marked this important transition...

Naja 42nd

from the moment she became my wife, she has been my constant source of strength, comfort, and inspiration... thank you for being an amazing partner, a loving mother, and the heart of our home... her patience, kindness, and quiet sacrifices never go unnoticed, even if they are rarely spoken about... as she turns 42, I pray that Allah SWT grants her good health, endless happiness, and barakah in every step of her life... may her days ahead be filled with peace, laughter, and dreams fulfilled... I am grateful every day to walk this journey with her - today and always...

Fire Drill

today was the official assessment day by the Fire and Rescue Department for UNITAR, as part of the fire safety and emergency preparedness evaluation... I was appointed as a Floor Warden and assigned to oversee Level 9, ensuring that evacuation procedures, coordination, and safety compliance were carried out smoothly... all roles and responsibilities were performed as planned, with good cooperation from staff and clear communication throughout the exercise... UNITAR passed the assessment with excellent results, reflecting strong preparedness, effective training, and a solid commitment to safety standards across the institution...
