Science Exploration

several students have begun showing fever symptoms since yesterday, and a few have already tested positive for influenza, which raised understandable concern... Abyana also mentioned that she was not feeling well, experiencing discomfort and symptoms similar to those reported by her peers... since she had already registered for the science exploration visit, I advised Naja to bring her straight home after the KLCC visit instead of extending her activities... as a precaution, we took her directly to the clinic for a medical check‑up... thankfully, her test results came back negative for influenza, and the doctor confirmed that it was just a common fever... while it was a relief to know it was nothing serious, we are continuing to monitor her closely to ensure she gets proper rest and recovers fully...

Physical Contact

under current school policy, any form of physical contact is treated very seriously and will result in firm disciplinary action... teachers are strictly prohibited from using any physical contact as a form of punishment, and likewise, senior students are not allowed to use physical contact under any circumstances to discipline or teach junior students... as a result, junior students have the right to report any incident involving physical contact, and such reports must be formally investigated by the school...

this also means that in certain situations, a junior student may use the claim of physical contact as a shield, even if the original issue involved misconduct on their part... nevertheless, once a report is made, the school is obligated to act decisively according to established procedures... serious consequences may include suspension for a specific period or expulsion, depending on the severity of the case and the findings of the investigation...

at the same time, it is crucial that parents exercise caution when discussing such matters in WhatsApp groups or other social media platforms... names of students must never be mentioned, as doing so violates child confidentiality and protection procedures... breaching this confidentiality can itself constitute an offence, regardless of intention... therefore, all discussions should remain general, respectful, and mindful of legal and ethical boundaries, allowing the school’s formal process to proceed without unnecessary harm to the students involved...

in the past, such matters were rarely taken seriously... if I made a mistake and was punished physically by a teacher, it was considered normal... even telling my father would only result in being scolded or punished again, as the general belief was simple: there would be no reason for a teacher or a senior student to take action unless I had done something wrong... discipline was accepted as part of character building, and children were taught to reflect on their own mistakes rather than blame authority figures...

however, times have changed significantly... today, many parents are quick to confront teachers or senior students, and some even pursue legal action, regardless of the circumstances... this shift largely stems from the belief that their children are always innocent, well‑behaved, and incapable of wrongdoing... even if a mistake is acknowledged, parents often argue that no one has the right to discipline their child physically, especially because they themselves do not use physical discipline at home...

while the intention is to protect children, this mindset risks creating a deeper problem... when children grow up believing they are never wrong and never accountable, authority and discipline lose their meaning... over time, this can lead to a harmful culture where children become dominant over their own parents, resistant to guidance, correction, or responsibility... if not balanced with accountability, respect, and moral boundaries, this modern approach may contribute to long‑term social and character deterioration, affecting not only families but the wider society in the future...

Red

Red has a personality all his own, and his affection is expressed in the quietest, most touching ways... with gentle charm, he always chooses to stay close by, whether that means sitting beside me, appearing silently at my feet, or following me from room to room... at times, he softly rubs his head or body against me, as if to reassure himself - and me - of our bond... his affection doesn’t demand attention; instead, it reflects trust, comfort, and a deep sense of belonging... through him, I’ve learned that a cat’s love is not loud or overwhelming, but steady, sincere, and deeply comforting - a constant presence that brings calm companionship and warmth to everyday moments...

Quality Awards Ceremony

Azim and Abyana were among the students listed to receive achievement awards according to their respective year levels during the Quality Awards Ceremony, marking a positive and meaningful milestone in their academic journey... being selected as award recipients reflects their consistent effort, discipline, and commitment to their studies, and it serves as an encouraging recognition of their hard work... the ceremony itself was conducted in a formal and celebratory atmosphere, aimed at acknowledging students who have demonstrated commendable performance and positive development... for them, this achievement is not only a source of pride for them personally, but also a strong motivation to continue striving for excellence... moments like this reinforce the value of perseverance and inspire students to set higher goals while nurturing confidence and a sense of responsibility toward their own growth and learning...

Wheezing

today unfolded rather quietly at home, with Abyana accompanying Naja to the office, while Azim stayed behind as he was not feeling well... noticing that his breathing was laboured and that he was wheezing, I took Azim to the clinic for a nebulizer treatment, which confirmed that his breathing was indeed tight... after returning home, he managed to eat a little before falling into a much‑needed sleep... meanwhile, Abyana had lunch with Naja, spending quality time together during the afternoon... as I had an online class scheduled from 6:30 pm to 10:30 pm, I was unable to join Naja, Azim, and Abyana for dinner outside... by evening, Azim’s appetite had started to return, which was a reassuring sign of recovery, while Abyana chose to spend time with her SRITI friends, enjoying a light and social moment to end the day...
