the distance from the cafe to this location is about 2.3 kilometres, which would take roughly 32 minutes on foot, so - unsurprisingly - we opted for Grab once again... the destination was Binh Tay market, a historic wholesale market located in Cho Lon, District 6, Ho Chi Minh City... the market was established by a wealthy Chinese merchant named Quach Dam, who financed its construction to replace an older, overcrowded market and to support growing commercial activities in the area... today, the market offers a wide range of goods, including fresh fruits, vegetables, dried produce, spices, local products, imported items, textiles, and household goods, with prices that are generally negotiable... from my personal perspective, the market is especially suitable for bulk or wholesale purchases, as buying small quantities may not always feel as economical... nevertheless, the market remains an important commercial hub and provides an authentic glimpse into local trading culture and daily life in Ho Chi Minh City...
