from Saigon Square, we chose to walk directly to this restaurant - definitely no Grab this time, as taking a car would actually mean going the long way around... Jamilah restaurant is a place that has gone viral on TikTok and is located along Malaysian Street (District 1 area), an area well known among Malaysian and Indonesian tourists... after finishing our shopping, it was finally time for lunch... the restaurant serves halal Asian and Vietnamese‑style dishes, catering mainly to Muslim travelers... among its commonly ordered items are fried rice, chicken dishes, curries, and simple set meals, with fried rice with chicken being one of the safe and familiar choices... from my honest personal view, the food was slightly below my expectations, though this is purely a matter of individual taste - others may feel differently... prices here are a bit on the higher side, which is understandable given the high rental rates imposed by the local authorities in this busy tourist zone... even so, I finished my meal out of respect and appreciation for the effort put into it... overall, it remains a convenient halal dining option in a prime tourist location, especially for those prioritizing accessibility and familiarity while exploring Ho Chi Minh City...
