watching Abyana doze off at the table during sahur reminded me of my own childhood days, when I would often fall asleep at the front table while waiting for sahur to end... seeing her innocent behaviour brought back those simple yet meaningful memories, and I couldn’t help but smile as I reminisced about those moments from the past... the scene felt familiar and comforting, a gentle reminder of how certain experiences repeat across generations, creating shared memories filled with warmth, nostalgia, and quiet joy...

Homeopathic Treatment
I had the opportunity to meet Dr. Avanish Shukla, a homeopathic practitioner at the Global Homeopathy Centre, located at No. 14, Jalan USJ 11/3J, 47620 Subang Jaya, Selangor... the session provided valuable insight into homeopathic treatment and its holistic approach to health and well‑being... it is important to note that visits to the centre are conducted strictly by prior appointment, ensuring personalized consultation and focused care for each patient...
The primary purpose of this visit was to seek treatment for the 3 common conditions - diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol - the purpose of my attempt to use homeopathy is as a preventive care measure should I develop these three interrelated conditions... the homeopathic approach begins with a comprehensive understanding of one’s overall condition, including medical history, dietary habits, physical activities, and even spiritual well‑being... based on this holistic assessment, Dr. Avanish prescribed medication to be taken over a one‑month period, after which a full blood test will be conducted to obtain accurate readings of internal organ functions...
Four types of medication were provided: a diabetes remedy to be taken each morning before meals, a cholesterol remedy to be taken after dinner, a hereditary‑related medication taken at night following a specific schedule, and eye drops administered before bedtime... the initial focus of this treatment is to restore and improve internal organ function, with progress to be evaluated through blood test results after one month before continuing the next phase of treatment... personally, my intention is to commit to long‑term follow‑up treatment, whether over 3 months, 6 months, or even a year, with the ultimate goal of restoring internal health and achieving sustainable well‑being...

Invigilation
while examinations for other programmes were conducted online, the accounting programme was the only one required to sit for the exam physically... as a result, I had to be present on campus to invigilate the examination session... the exam running from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm, and my role was to ensure that the examination proceeded smoothly, fairly, and in accordance with regulations... despite the different mode of assessment compared to other programmes, the session was well managed and proceeded without any major issues...
About Zakat
I had the opportunity to attend a session with Ustaz Masrol Mohd Rasid from Lembaga Zakat Selangor (LZS), who shared insightful reflections on the importance and benefits of fulfilling zakat obligations... through his talk, he highlighted how zakat purifies wealth, strengthens faith, and plays a vital role in supporting those in need, while also fostering social responsibility and unity within the community... the session served as a meaningful reminder of zakat’s significance, not only as a religious duty but also as a powerful instrument for societal well‑being...

Alor Setar is Congested
today was a relaxed and restful day spent mostly at home... I took the opportunity to sit down and have long, meaningful conversations with Walid, enjoying the simple comfort of each other’s company... around noon, we headed out briefly to Aman Central for a casual stroll... Abyana, as always, happily seized the chance to take photos - she truly loves being in front of the camera... with Azim currently in the hostel, it naturally meant extra bonding and affection for my dear daughter... later, we stopped by Mr DIY to pick up some household necessities for Walid before returning home at around 2:00 pm... the rest of the afternoon was spent resting and continuing our heartfelt chats, making the day feel calm, warm, and fulfilling...
in the late afternoon, we headed out to look for something to eat, and of course, PKNK prawn fritters were a must... prices are understandably higher these days - everything seems to be going up - but thankfully, Kedah prices are still more reasonable compared to Kuala Lumpur... there is little that can be done as such increases are beyond our control... yesterday, we also placed an order for Arab cuisine from Chef Amar, who used to be a chef at Arabian Delight Restaurant and now runs a modest stall near MyDin Alor Setar... we ordered four Chicken Mendy, one Lamb Mendy, one regular Arabic shawarma, and one special shawarma... the Mendy rice was truly satisfying and full of flavour, though the shawarma was heavily loaded with sauce - almost reminiscent of roti John - a fun twist but perhaps lacking that original Arabic touch...
as usual, the night concluded with Tarawih and Witr prayers in congregation together... all praise be to Allah SWT for granting us the opportunity to fast and worship here in peace and gratitude... tomorrow, we will begin our journey back to Selangor at 7:30 am, carrying along meaningful moments and a thankful heart...

Abyana's Second Dose of Pfizer
Abyana has successfully completed her second dose of the Pfizer COVID‑19 vaccine, marking the final stage of her vaccination programme for children... this dose is especially important as it strengthens and prolongs immune protection, helping her body build a more robust defence against COVID‑19... the Pfizer vaccine for children is administered in a carefully controlled, age‑appropriate dosage, ensuring both safety and effectiveness based on medical guidance... with the completion of the second dose, Abyana is now better protected, contributing not only to her personal well‑being but also to a safer environment for family, school, and the wider community...

MQA Cyberjaya
today, Amri, Prof. Hassan, Prof. Rohaya, and I visited the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) in Cyberjaya to discuss several academic programmes, namely BHM, BBA, Fintech, MBA, and DBA, with MQA officers in conjunction with their Customer Engagement Day... the session was very fruitful, as we gained valuable updates and clarity on several current matters related to programme accreditation and requirements... to top it off, we were pleasantly surprised with some dates as a thoughtful gesture, making the visit even more memorable...

A Time with Azim
Alhamdulillah, today I had the opportunity to perform the Friday prayer at Puncak Alam mosque together with Azim... it has been quite some time since we had to perform Zuhr prayers instead, due to the COVID‑19 restrictions previously in place... with the latest requirement allowing children who have completed 2 vaccine doses to attend, this moment felt especially meaningful... with Azim preparing to enter the hostel soon, the experience became even more precious... after the prayer, we headed straight to Mamu FZ, at Azim’s own request, to enjoy a plate of his favourite mee goreng mamak - a simple yet memorable way to end the day together...
Pantun Merisik - Hud Barakbah
during the merisik visit in Johor to inquire about Hud’s future partner, Abg Mahdi beautifully shared a pantun that reflected the values of Malay tradition, courtesy, and sincerity... the pantun was not merely a poetic expression, but a respectful way to convey intentions, symbolizing humility, good manners, and heartfelt hope... through these carefully chosen words, the moment was enriched with cultural depth, reminding everyone present that the journey toward marriage begins with respect, wisdom, and meaningful communication rooted in tradition...
Bad System
a bad system can destroy good people, not because they lack integrity or effort, but because the environment they are placed in slowly erodes fairness, motivation, and principle... when rules reward compliance over honesty, silence over truth, and loyalty to power over justice, even the most well‑intentioned individuals are pushed into moral conflict... over time, good people are forced to choose between survival and values, often becoming exhausted, disillusioned, or blamed for failures that were never theirs... history and everyday experiences show that when systems prioritize numbers, fear, or profit over humanity, they do not merely fail to nurture goodness - they actively crush it... this reminder urges us to look beyond individuals and examine the structures they operate in, because lasting change begins not with replacing people, but with fixing the systems that govern them...
