some intentions for the blessed month of Ramadhan (translated from the intentions of Habib Umar bin Muhammad bin Hafidz)...
- I intend to draw closer to Allah SWT during this blessed month through various means, making all my efforts sincere solely for the sake of Allah SWT, and distancing myself from any intention other than for Him...
- I intend to follow the Sunnah of Muhammad SAW in the most complete manner...
- I intend to maintain my congregational prayers, my Tarawih prayers, and my night prayers every night...
- I intend to safeguard my time with remembrance from Fajr until Ishraq, and from Maghrib until Isya...
- I intend to refrain from all forms of sinful actions such as lying, backbiting, spreading discord, and making false oaths...
- I intend to reduce the amount of sleep during this noble month...
- I intend to increase my seeking of forgiveness before Fajr, to humble myself, and to fully submit myself to Allah SWT...
- I intend to pray for the ummah of Muhammad SAW...
- I intend to increase my acts of charity...
- I intend to observe the voluntary prayers, including Rawatib, Duha, Witr, and others...
- I intend to increase in the remembrance of Allah SWT, keeping my tongue constantly engaged in dhikr...
- I intend to reduce unnecessary speech...
- I intend to do good and show kindness to my parents and family members...
- I intend to maintain family ties and to assist my fellow Muslims...
- I intend to remove anything that causes hardship or harm to other Muslims...
- I intend to avoid anything that is displeasing to Allah SWT, as well as actions that are makruh...
- I intend to increase my recitation of the Al-Quran and to reflect deeply upon its meanings...
- I intend to serve those who are fasting by assisting them during iftar and suhoor, hoping that Allah SWT will grant me a reward equal to theirs...
- I intend to serve the descendants of Muhammad SAW through various forms of service...
- I make all of these intentions in alignment with the intention of Muhammad SAW, the intentions of the companions, the followers, the scholars, and the righteous...
