SPM Hifz Al-Quran Oral Examination

today was the Hifz Al-Quran oral examination, a subject taught by Ustazah Puteri Khumaira Khaidzir... this examination is an important component of the SPM assessment for Hifz students, as it evaluates their ability to recite memorized Quranic verses accurately, fluently, and confidently... the examination requires strong memorization skills, concentration, and a thorough understanding of the assigned portions of the Quran... it also serves as an opportunity for students to demonstrate the dedication and effort they have invested in their Quranic studies throughout the year...

I sincerely pray that Azim and his classmates are able to answer and complete the oral examination smoothly, calmly, and with confidence... may they be granted a clear mind, strong memory, and the ability to recall every verse accurately during the assessment... I hope that all their hard work, discipline, and preparation will be rewarded with excellent results... may Allah bless them with ease throughout the examination, grant them success in their SPM journey, and guide them towards achieving their academic and spiritual goals...

Gout

Gout is not only triggered by seafood... many people are unaware that sweet drinks, especially those containing high amounts of sugar or fructose, can also trigger gout attacks... when the body processes fructose, it increases the production of uric acid, which can lead to the formation of uric acid crystals in the joints... these crystals cause the pain, swelling, and inflammation commonly associated with gout...

while foods such as prawns, crabs, shellfish, anchovies, and organ meats are often linked to high uric acid levels, excessive consumption of soft drinks, sweetened beverages, energy drinks, and sugary fruit juices can be equally problematic... in some cases, regularly consuming sugary drinks may increase the risk of gout more than moderate seafood consumption... this is because the body converts excess sugar into substances that promote uric acid production and reduce the kidneys' ability to remove it efficiently...

therefore, individuals with gout should not focus solely on avoiding seafood... they should also limit the intake of sweet beverages, maintain adequate water consumption, control their body weight, and follow a balanced diet... in many cases, reducing sugary drinks can significantly help lower the frequency of gout attacks and improve overall health...

Mee Ketam Sedap

Syifa was a little disappointed because she did not have the opportunity to enjoy the fried crab nasi kandar that she had been looking forward to... to make up for it, we decided to stop at Mee Ketam Sedap in Bukit Mertajam, Penang before beginning our journey home... the restaurant is well known for its crab-based dishes, making it a suitable choice for satisfying our seafood cravings before leaving Penang...

although it was still relatively early, we treated the meal as an early dinner... the noodles, served with fresh crab and flavorful gravy, provided a hearty and satisfying meal for everyone... it was a pleasant way to conclude our trip, allowing us to enjoy one final Penang food experience before heading back home... after finishing our meal, we continued our journey with full stomachs and many happy memories from our family getaway...

Nasi Kandar Astana

before heading home, we made one final stop to enjoy nasi kandar at Nasi Kandar Astana in Taman Pauh Jaya, Perai... after spending several memorable days in Penang, it felt only right to have one last taste of the island's famous cuisine before beginning our journey back... the restaurant was bustling with customers, a reflection of its popularity among locals and visitors alike... we took the opportunity to enjoy a satisfying meal of nasi kandar, complete with a selection of side dishes and the rich mixed curry gravy that the restaurant is known for...

the meal provided a fitting conclusion to our trip... everyone enjoyed their food, and the delicious flavors served as a reminder of Penang's renowned culinary heritage... as we sat together sharing our final meal in Perai, we reflected on the many experiences we had enjoyed throughout the trip, from family gatherings and special celebrations to exploring local attractions and food destinations...

Ali-Ko Koay Teow Kerang

it is a popular restaurant in Bandar Perda, Bukit Mertajam, near Perai, Penang... the restaurant is famous for its Koay Teow Kerang, a fried flat noodle dish cooked with fresh cockles and special seasonings... it is a favorite place for local people who enjoy Penang-style food... besides Koay Teow Kerang, the restaurant also serves other local dishes such as chicken rice, mixed rice, and some Thai-style food... it has a simple and comfortable environment, making it suitable for families and friends to enjoy a meal together... the food is tasty (only char koay teow), the portions are good, and the prices are reasonable...

Meritus Serviced Apartment

we stayed at Meritus Serviced Apartment, located at Jalan Laguna 1, Perai, in unit no 11 on the 19th floor... the security system at the residence was very impressive, with strict access control and monitoring to ensure the safety of residents and guests... each apartment unit was allocated 2 parking bays, and since our family shared the apartment with Feisal's family, we were assigned parking spaces no 34 and 35 on level 4... the check-in time was 3:00 pm, while check-out was scheduled for 11:00 am, which is the standard arrangement for guests...

one aspect that stood out was the parking system, which was quite complicated for first-time visitors... drivers had to follow the designated signs carefully, as taking shortcuts or driving against the traffic flow was strictly prohibited... the entire parking area was monitored by CCTV cameras on every level, and violations could result in a RM200 fine... although it took some time to become familiar with the layout, the system was clearly designed to maintain safety and order within the building...

our apartment was located on the same floor as Abah, Mak, Abang Wan's family, and Mohsein's family, who were staying in unit no 7... meanwhile, Abang Syed's family, Ali's family, and Helmi's family were accommodated on different floors within the building... overall, the apartment was comfortable and well-equipped... the room condition was good, the Wi-Fi connection was reliable, and there was even a PlayStation, which provided plenty of entertainment for the children... the kids had a great time playing games together, making the stay even more enjoyable... we are scheduled to check out this Saturday, but so far the experience has been pleasant and memorable for everyone...

Penang Town

we decided to park our car at 1st Avenue Mall, as it is conveniently connected to Komtar and Perangin Mall via a skybridge, making it easy to move between the shopping complexes without having to drive... parking at the mall was a much more practical option, as finding an available parking space along the roadside in the city area can be quite difficult and time-consuming... after enjoying our lunch at Hameediyah, we spent some time strolling around the surrounding area, exploring the nearby shops and attractions while taking in the atmosphere of George Town... it was a relaxing way to spend the afternoon before continuing our journey to the accommodation where we would be staying for 3D2N...

Hameediyah Restaurant

Hameediyah Restaurant is a famous restaurant in George Town, Penang... it was established in 1907 and is known as the oldest nasi kandar restaurant in Malaysia... it is located on Lebuh Campbell and has been serving customers for more than 100 years... it is a popular place for both locals and tourists who want to enjoy authentic Penang food...

the restaurant is well known for its nasi kandar, which is rice served with different curries and side dishes... some of its popular dishes include ayam bawang, ayam kapitan, beef rendang, mutton curry, squid curry, briyani rice, and murtabak... many customers also enjoy the mixed curry gravy, known as kuah campur, which gives the rice a rich and delicious flavor...

It is more than just a restaurant... it is an important part of Penang's food heritage and culture... even after many years, it continues to use traditional recipes and cooking methods passed down through generations... for anyone visiting Penang, it is a great place to experience authentic nasi kandar and one of Malaysia's most historic food destinations...

Dapur Desa

Dapur Desa is a small eatery located in Kampung Sungai Burung, Tanjung Karang, just after Masjid Kampung Sungai Burung along the road leading towards Sabak Bernam... the business is operated by a retired teacher, giving the place a warm and welcoming atmosphere that reflects the owner's years of experience in education and community service... during our visit, Azim had the opportunity to receive valuable advice from the retired teacher, who previously taught History and Bahasa Melayu for SPM... the conversation was both meaningful and inspiring, especially for him preparing for important examinations...

the food served here is relatively simple, focusing on traditional home-style dishes, but the taste is excellent and satisfying... despite the uncomplicated menu, the quality of the cooking makes the dining experience enjoyable and memorable... during our visit, a suggestion was shared with the owner to consider expanding the menu by introducing more gravy-based and soup dishes, which could potentially attract a larger number of customers... currently, the restaurant operates only during the morning and afternoon hours, making it a popular spot for breakfast and lunch among locals and visitors in the area...

Coffee at Night

some people can drink coffee at night and still sleep well, while others cannot... this is mainly because of genetics, caffeine tolerance, and how sensitive their brain is to caffeine...

Genetics affects how fast the body breaks down caffeine... some people process caffeine quickly, so it leaves their body faster and does not affect their sleep very much... others process caffeine slowly, which means the caffeine stays in their body longer and can keep them awake at night...

another reason is tolerance... people who drink coffee regularly often become used to caffeine... as a result, they may drink coffee in the evening and still sleep normally... however, people who rarely drink coffee may feel more awake after just one cup...

the brain also plays an important role... caffeine blocks a chemical called adenosine, which makes us feel sleepy... some people are very sensitive to this effect, so they become alert and have difficulty sleeping... others are less sensitive and can fall asleep without any problem after drinking coffee...

whether a person can sleep after drinking coffee at night depends on their genetics, caffeine tolerance, and brain sensitivity... that is why one person can drink an iced Americano before bed and sleep soundly, while another may stay awake for hours after a single cup of coffee...

Ron95 to 300L

beginning today, the RON95 fuel subsidy quota has been increased back to 300 litres, after having been reduced to 200 litres for a considerable period of time... in my personal view, the earlier reduction was difficult to understand, as I felt there was little justification for changing a policy that had previously been functioning without major issues... the latest increase has been presented as a measure aimed at supporting the public, although many people may have differing opinions regarding the reasons behind the decision... some observers may interpret such policy changes as being linked to broader political considerations, particularly following recent election outcomes... ultimately, it serves as a reminder that public support is important in a democratic system, as authority and responsibility are entrusted by the people and remain subject to public judgment through the electoral process...
