sleep is naturally very limited, as most of our time is devoted to visit and acts of worship... as our mutawif rightly reminded us, the hotel here is essentially only a place to rest briefly, while the real focus of our stay is ibadah... we have to set our alarm for around 3:00 am, giving us enough time to prepare and make our way to Al‑Haram mosque before Fajr... this time, we are performing our prayers in the Sa‘i area, due to ongoing improvement works in the main tawaf building... nevertheless, the atmosphere remains extraordinary - the mosque is constantly filled with worshippers, bustling 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, reflecting the unparalleled spiritual pull of this sacred place where devotion never pauses...
