with Aidilfitri officially falling on a Saturday, tonight marked the final Tarawih prayers of this year’s Ramadhan... I chose to end the month at Surau Al‑Falah, Taman Jaya - a place filled with countless memories from the old days and the only surau that holds such deep nostalgia for me... the first Tarawih was performed with 8 rakaat, while tonight I completed the full 20 rakaat, closing Ramadhan on a meaningful note...
by the time I got home, the children were already asleep - most likely exhausted from helping with house preparations... so, my wife and I decided to head out for a little date night... honestly, Alor Setar felt just like Kuala Lumpur - with heavy traffic everywhere, especially around the stadium area, which has become a major shopping hub... our original plan was Koteow Iman; parking secured, seats found - only to be told that the kuey teow was completely sold out... plan changed, and off we went to the wholesale market area instead, ending the night with Gani Char Kuey Teow... along the way, we also took the opportunity to get food for sahur - picking up benjo, a beef burger, and nasi lemak kuning... it felt good knowing that everything was settled for the night, with meals prepared for both iftar and sahur, wrapping up the last days of Ramadhan in a simple yet satisfying way...
