only 5 cars made the rounds for Hari Raya visits in Jerang - mine, Helmi’s, Ali’s, Feisal’s, and Ibrahim’s... though modest in number, the journey was rich in warmth and hospitality... at Tok’s house, we were treated to laksa; at Tok Sepiah’s, the unmistakable flavours of ikan patin tempoyak awaited us... Ami Mat Satay welcomed us with nasi lemak, while Ami Mat Sofea served an assortment of traditional kuih‑muih... our final stop was at Nde Nini’s father’s house, where we enjoyed a hearty meal of nasi kambing... simple visits, sincere hosts, and shared meals - these are the moments that truly define the spirit of Hari Raya...
