Sunnah Aidilfitri Prayer

we had the opportunity to perform the Sunnah Aidilfitri prayer at Surau Al‑Falah, Taman Jaya, a place that holds countless memories from my childhood through to adulthood... it was especially meaningful to join in proclaiming the takbir raya at this surau, which has always felt close to my heart... the sermon was delivered by Dato’ Hassan, my former principal during my days at KSAH, and its message was deeply touching - emphasizing the importance of returning home to celebrate Aidilfitri with one’s parents... in simple terms, those who are still blessed with their parents should take every opportunity to fast together, perform tarawih, enliven the nights of Aidilfitri, and celebrate Raya in their company... no matter how successful or wealthy we become, neglecting our parents diminishes our standing before Allah SWT, as their pleasure brings blessings and their displeasure removes them... parents sacrifice endlessly to ensure our success, and Allah SWT’s pleasure is inseparable from theirs... imagine how we would feel if our own children did not return home for Raya - surely no parent would find joy in such a situation... although parents may appear calm, their hearts are often filled with quiet sadness and tears when their children are absent... let this be a moment for reflection and remembrance...
