the ITQAN National Quranic Memorization Competition is an annual event aimed at nurturing and recognizing students with strong capability in memorizing the Al-Quran... the competition is divided into several categories based on the number of Juzuk memorized, with the Juzuk 1 to 5 category focusing on accuracy of memorization, tajwid, fluency, and overall recitation quality for Abyana... she is assessed by a panel of qualified judges, and the programme also serves as a platform to cultivate confidence, perseverance, and deeper appreciation of the Al-Quran among students...
This was her first experience participating in a national-level competition, and it was only natural for her to feel nervous... in the first question from Juz 1, she managed to recite successfully; however, when tested on Juz 3, she was unable to recall the verses... prior to the competition, she had expressed her reluctance to participate, but we encouraged her to take this opportunity as a valuable learning experience... winning or losing was never our main concern - opportunities like this do not come often, and the experience itself is what truly matters... regardless of the outcome, we are proud of her for her courage and willingness to step forward and try... congratulations, Abyana, for your bravery and effort...
