unfortunately, I ended up receiving a compound notice along Jalan Dagangan 9, Bertam Perdana... it turned out that the Penang Smart Parking app is required for parking in the area... ideally, there should be just one application for parking nationwide - perhaps integrated through a common e‑wallet platform... like it or not, I had to download the app, and fortunately, the compound paid on the same day amounted to only RM10... after registering for Penang Smart Parking, topping up via an e‑wallet, and settling the payment, everything was resolved...
