when we arrived at Setia City Mall, we went straight to buy tickets to watch Libang Libu at GSC, and then had our meal at Chili’s... before entering the cinema hall, I bumped into an old KSAH friend, Nazar, who is better known as Pak Teh... although we were not in the same class, we were from the same 1994 batch, so we are quite familiar with each other... Libang Libu is a comedy-drama film directed by Bobby Husaini, marking his debut in feature filmmaking... it features an ensemble cast of well-known local actors, including Amerul Affendi, Beto Kusyairy, Nabila Huda, Ozlynn Waty, and Nadia Aqilah, alongside many others... the film combines humor with meaningful social themes, set against the backdrop of village life, offering a light yet engaging story that resonates with everyday Malaysian experiences... the film succeeds largely because it features a lineup of talented actors who deliver their respective roles convincingly and bring the story to life... however, overall, the works directed by the late Mamat Khalid still stand out as the benchmark for the best comedy... honestly, I would give this movie a rating of 4 out of 5...
