today marked the final day of the MQA compliance session for the Diploma in Hotel Management programme... the evaluation panel was visibly surprised when informed that the Diploma in Hotel Management, Diploma in Tourism Management, Bachelor of Hospitality Management, Bachelor in Hotel Management, and Bachelor in Tourism Management programmes would be permanently discontinued by UNITAR management...
from the perspective of UNITAR’s management, these programmes are no longer considered relevant... as a result, programmes that were once well‑recognized and respected have come to an end... unfortunately, there is no longer an opportunity for us to defend or sustain them... regardless of the feedback or recommendations provided by the MQA panel, the decision remains final - the programmes will be closed...
Today, we reorganized and archived the programme documents in the documentation room as a lasting keepsake, preserving the memory of these programmes for the future...
