Sangkar Sungai Temerloh in Kampung Bangau Tanjung is a well‑known riverside attraction that highlights the charm of Temerloh’s traditional fishing culture... situated along the serene Pahang river, the floating fish cages offer visitors a close‑up experience of freshwater aquaculture, especially the town’s iconic ikan patin... the calm surroundings, friendly local community, and authentic river‑based lifestyle make this spot a unique destination for those seeking to learn about local livelihoods while enjoying the natural beauty of Temerloh... the activity provided a meaningful and hands‑on learning experience as students explored the unique river‑based aquaculture practised by the local community... surrounded by the calm flow of the Pahang river, students observed the traditional fish cage system, particularly the rearing of the famous ikan patin, which is closely linked to Temerloh’s cultural identity... this visit not only broadened their understanding of local livelihoods and sustainable freshwater farming but also strengthened their appreciation for the heritage and natural beauty of the area...

we had the valuable opportunity to meet the Tok Empat of the area, Tuan Samad, who warmly welcomed our presence and shared insightful information about the local community... his guidance provided students with a deeper understanding of the village’s traditions, leadership structure, and the day‑to‑day responsibilities of a community head... the interaction offered meaningful exposure to local governance and enriched the overall learning experience of our visitation activity...
