Jonker Walk

Jonker Walk, also known as Jonker Street (Jalan Hang Jebat), is one of Malacca’s most popular heritage attractions located within the UNESCO World Heritage Site area... historically a centre of trade and strongly influenced by Peranakan (Baba‑Nyonya) culture, the street is lined with well‑preserved old shophouses that now house antique shops, cafés, museums, art galleries, and souvenir stalls... it is especially famous for its weekend night market, held every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evening from around 6:00 pm onwards, where the street comes alive with vibrant crowds, live performances, and a wide variety of local street food such as chicken rice balls, cendol, Nyonya laksa, satay celup, and grilled seafood... combining history, culture, shopping, and food, it offers us a lively and authentic Malacca experience both during the day and at night...
