My Deep Longing

I still remember how Mak used to faithfully observe the fasts of Rejab, Syaaban, Ramadan, and even the 6 days of Syawal... she once spent Ramadan in Mecca, and by Allah’s mercy, I was blessed with the unforgettable experience of seeing her presence near the Kaabah before leaving for Arafah... the joy of that moment moved me to tears - the familiar scent of her presence eased years of longing... even though it lasted only a moment, it felt as though I had been with her for a long time...

Mak, Munir wants to continue practicing everything you used to do...

that was the intention that filled my heart the moment her vision faded before me... ya Allah, You granted my wish to see my mother, even if just for a second... my heart was overwhelmed with gratitude - to care for Walid and to be granted the chance to meet her again in Your sacred House... thank you ya Allah for choosing me as Your guest... Allahu Akbar...

BMI 22.9

my body weight of 70 kg and a BMI of 22.9, the result falls comfortably within the normal and healthy weight range, generally defined as a BMI between 18.5 and 24.9... a BMI of 22.9 indicates that the individual’s weight is proportionate to their height, suggesting a healthy body composition and a lower risk of developing weight‑related health issues... this range is typically associated with good physical wellbeing, balanced energy levels, and reduced chances of conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, and heart disease... maintaining this healthy BMI through regular exercise and a nutritious diet can help support long‑term health and overall quality of life...

A Test from Allah SWT

today was truly a test from Allah SWT... the car in front stopped suddenly to avoid another vehicle from the right lane cutting in, as there had been an accident ahead... riding the motorcycle, I had no choice but to swerve quickly to avoid hitting the car... in that split second, the only option was to drop the bike... Alhamdulillah, the injuries were not serious - just a few cuts and bruises... the motorcycle could still start, so I rode it back home safely... it was better to avoid the car than to crash into its rear... what touched my heart most was the kindness of fellow motorcyclists who rushed to help lift the bike and even controlled the traffic... the driver of the car who stopped, however, disappeared from sight... in any case, I accept this with redha, hoping that the pain I endure today will wipe away some of my past sins... Allahu Akbar...

Hands-On in Funeral Prayer

the session provides students with a meaningful hands‑on experience in learning the proper procedures and etiquette of performing the funeral prayer in Islam... through guided practice, students become familiar with the essential recitations, movements, and intentions required in prayer, enabling them to understand both its spiritual significance and its role in fulfilling communal obligations... this practical activity not only strengthens their knowledge but also nurtures a sense of responsibility, compassion, and readiness to carry out this important religious duty when needed... Azim took the lead as the imam, confidently guiding his classmates through the proper recitations and movements of the funeral prayer... his calm presence and clear delivery helped create a focused learning environment, allowing everyone to better understand the responsibilities and etiquette involved in performing this important religious duty... the experience not only strengthened their knowledge but also highlighted the value of leadership, readiness, and spiritual maturity in fulfilling communal obligations...

Malay Heritage Knowledge

we should take pride in our country’s own heritage knowledge, especially the art of Urutan Melayu, a traditional practice rich in history and healing wisdom... yet, in our own land, it is often treated as a profession without proper academic recognition or institutional support... what can we do? when efforts to uplift and formalize this heritage face countless obstacles, we bring it elsewhere - let it flourish in countries that appreciate its value... let the frogs inside the coconut shell remain where they are; in time, when Urutan Melayu gains international recognition, only then will they realize how long they have confined themselves in their narrow mindset... such is the story of our beloved homeland...

Water Storage

this is what it means to store water in times of emergency - 3 whole days without water, and suddenly everyone rushes to buy oversized buckets, much to the delight of the sellers... with just under RM10 of capital, they can sell countless packets of water to desperate customers... by 9 am, the taps were already shut off, leaving everyone waiting anxiously until Friday night at around 10 pm, when the supply would finally be restored... situations like these truly show how creative, resourceful, and sometimes comical people can be when facing a water crisis...

SETARA and MYRA

SETARA and MYRA are two key national rating instruments used by the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education to evaluate the quality and performance of higher education institutions... SETARA focuses on assessing overall institutional excellence through core functions such as teaching and learning, research, and services, aligning with the Malaysia Education Blueprint 2015-2025... MYRA, on the other hand, specifically measures the strength of a university’s research performance, covering elements such as research capacity, output, innovation, and knowledge transfer... together, both rating systems provide a comprehensive framework that helps institutions improve quality, enhance competitiveness, and strengthen their contributions to Malaysia’s higher education landscape...

sigh... this is what everyone has been chasing all this while - the final results that lie entirely in the hands of the panel through their audit reports... I truly hope that those who receive high ratings can ensure that 100 percent of their graduates succeed... but when institutions with lower ratings are still able to produce successful graduates, it raises a very odd question about the evaluation process... it makes me wonder whether something isn’t quite right... so the real question is - is this system truly necessary? I’m just curious to know...

Office Politics

there are times when they fail to see the activities that truly create meaningful impact for customers... instead, they only focus on tasks that help them achieve their KPIs, projecting an image that appeals to upper management... this is where the culture of pretense begins - individuals who cause many of the underlying problems are ironically celebrated as superheroes in the eyes of those above... sadly, leadership is often easily deceived by such tactics, unaware of the real issues happening on the ground... this is the harsh reality of office politics, a system that can be deeply unfair and disheartening...
