Perdana Hajj Course Day 1

today marks the first day of the Perdana Hajj Course organized by Tabung Haji for this year... since I am registered under the Kelana Jaya branch, I am attending the course at Masjid Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah in Shah Alam... as for Walid and Umi, they will be joining the programme in Kedah... may this preparation bring ease, understanding, and readiness for the blessed journey ahead...

we were required to wear ihram and perform the practical training for the Hajj rituals... Alhamdulillah, it was a blessing to have learned early on how to wear the ihram properly, which made the process much easier... my heartfelt thanks go to my colleague, Saiful from the International Student Department of UNITAR, who kindly lent me his ihram... may the barakah of this kindness reach him, and may Allah SWT grant him the opportunity to receive the call to perform Hajj in the near future....

Alhamdulillah, I had the chance to reconnect with an old friend from Sekolah Kebangsaan Taman Uda, Anuar Abu Bakar... it was heartwarming to learn that he received the call to perform Hajj together with his wife... as for me, I will be embarking on this blessed journey with Walid and Umi... moments like these remind us of Allah SWT’s beautiful plans and the special bonds He allows us to cherish along the way...

I have now been assigned and tagged under Maktab 87, which means I will be part of this group until the completion of the course... this assignment provides a sense of structure and belonging as we progress together through every stage of the training, supporting one another along this meaningful journey...

it was our turn today to practise the rituals of tawaf and sa‘i, and the experience was both meaningful and enjoyable... moving together as a group created a sense of unity and purpose as we circled the replica of the Kaabah prepared by Tabung Haji... the practical session not only strengthened our understanding of the rites but also deepened our appreciation for the sacred journey that awaits...

Breakfast was generously prepared by the participating pilgrims themselves, creating a friendly and lively atmosphere as everyone enjoyed the food together... several small stalls were also open, giving us the chance to relax, chat, and eat comfortably on-site... truly, this course has proven to be an excellent and meaningful programme for future Hajj pilgrims, offering both knowledge and a sense of community throughout the learning experience...

Reflections

a salaried career will always have an ending - whether through resignation, termination, or the natural completion of service... the comfort we experience in our working life is never permanent, for every phase eventually reaches its close... nothing lasts forever, as our very nature in this world is temporary, and the course of our lives is ultimately determined by Allah SWT, the All‑Wise and All‑Powerful... what truly matters in any career is ensuring that the income we earn is blessed and lawful... I, too, will not remain in UNITAR forever, for my time there will one day come to an end... what remains eternal is my journey towards Him... therefore, we should not be saddened when worldly relationships or careers conclude, for they are only temporary... sustenance comes from Allah SWT alone - our salary from people lasts only for a limited time, but the salary from Allah leads us toward Jannah...

Fever, Flu, and Phlegm

it started with phlegm, followed by a runny nose, and soon the discomfort set in - chills, body weakness, and a complete loss of appetite... after seeing the doctor earlier, I was prescribed the usual trio of medications for fever, flu, and phlegm... the doctor advised me to rest well to recover quickly and return to work in better condition... I was given an MC for the day, so now it’s time to follow the doctor’s advice and let the body heal...

Munir 41st

my wife surprised me early in the morning to celebrate my birthday... I knew today was my special day, but I didn’t expect a celebration so early - right before breakfast... it was a simple yet meaningful gesture that truly brightened my morning and made the start of my birthday feel extra special...

today, we set out for a day of Raya visits with the whole group, and one of our stops was at Bi Hamidah’s home in Ulu Kelang... coincidentally, my birthday happens to fall on the same day as hers, so the celebration naturally flowed together - two occasions celebrated in one visit... it truly felt like a delightful 2‑in‑1 experience, adding extra joy to our Raya outing...

Focus

preparing two sets for a single examination paper is no simple task; crafting even one set already requires a great deal of creativity, thought, and careful planning... as for the total number of exam papers for this semester - well, let that remain a secret for now... what matters is that progress is steadily on track, with about 80 percent already completed... slowly but surely, we keep moving forward while staying focused until everything is fully done...

Outings

we attended a family gathering on my wife’s side, and afterward planned to head to our next destination... however, traffic on the MRR2 was heavily congested - reportedly due to rising water in the area - so we decided to change our route... in the end, we turned into Melawati Mall and spent the time enjoying Incredibles 2 instead... It became an unexpected but pleasant way to continue the day.

Incredibles 2 continues the thrilling story of the beloved Parr family as they navigate the challenges of balancing ordinary life with extraordinary superpowers... picking up right where the first film left off, the sequel focuses on Elastigirl’s mission to restore public trust in superheroes, while Mr. Incredible takes on the equally demanding role of managing the household and caring for the children - including baby Jack‑Jack, whose unpredictable powers create both chaos and comedy... filled with action, humour, and heartfelt family moments, Incredibles 2 delivers an entertaining and meaningful adventure for audiences of all ages...

Nebulizer

it was finally time for a break, as Azim had truly lived the full Raya experience - drinking iced drinks, fizzy beverages, eating ice cream, and even inhaling the lingering smoke from firecrackers... that’s what we call the complete Raya package... eventually, his body gave in; exhausted and breathless, he ended up needing a nebulizer treatment at the clinic...

Aidilfitri 2018

the sermon at Jamek mosque in Simpang Durian emphasized the meaning of true success after Ramadhan by encouraging Muslims to remain steadfast in faith, obedience, and good character... the sermon highlighted gratitude to Allah SWT, the importance of unity and mutual respect, and the responsibility of nurturing strong family and community ties... it reminded the congregation that Aidilfitri is not merely a celebration, but a continuation of the spiritual discipline, moral values, and compassion developed throughout the month of Ramadhan...

our theme for this year’s celebration in Jelebu, Negeri Sembilan reflects the spirit of togetherness and gratitude as we welcome the month of Syawal... from our family to all Muslim brothers and sisters, we extend our heartfelt wishes: Salam Aidilfitri, Maaf Zahir dan Batin... may this festive season bring forgiveness, renewed bonds, and abundant blessings to everyone...

after finishing our Raya visits, we spent some relaxing time watching an exciting football match between Egypt, featuring Mo Salah, and Uruguay, led by Luis Suárez... it was the perfect way to unwind after a festive day - enjoying world‑class players in action and sharing the thrill of the game together...

Breaking Fast at SDCC

we enjoyed a beautiful day of breaking fast with the family at the Sime Darby Convention Centre... the atmosphere was pleasant and welcoming, making the gathering even more meaningful... to be honest, the food here is consistently excellent - one of the reasons we return so often... each visit feels satisfying, and this place never fails to deliver a memorable dining experience...

Stay Healthy

every illness that befalls us comes with a reason, and surely Allah SWT provides its cure... it is a reminder of His love, especially when we reflect on how our past habits - poor diet, smoking, and a lifestyle without discipline - eventually take a toll on the body... when the body can no longer endure the accumulated stress, sickness begins to surface... logically, just as diseases develop over a long period, healing also requires time, especially if we choose to manage it through lifestyle changes rather than relying solely on medication... medicines may help stabilize our condition, but without proper dietary control, they must be taken continuously... illness may cleanse us of minor sins, yet it should also inspire us to restore our physical and inner health, as the body is our main engine in life... ultimately, it all depends on our mentality - whether we have the will to change... if we choose convenience, we depend on medication; if we choose discipline, we adopt healthier eating habits, exercise regularly, drink plenty of water, increase acts of worship, and make sincere recite to Allah SWT... be healthy, and have mercy on your body... just like an organization where a failure in one department affects the whole system, we only need to fix the part that is weak, not disrupt everything else... wise decisions ensure our body remains strong and well, enabling us to live with vitality and purpose...

A Drop of Indigo

when something happens suddenly, it inevitably affects everyone around it... merely failing to meet a target can become like a single drop of dye that stains the entire surrounding... those who remain within the environment are left to bear the consequences... this often leads to a period of restructuring or redemarcation, raising important questions: will the targets eventually be achieved? will the organization recover? the answers lie with those whose core duty is to deliver results... if the same parties continue to fail yet are still retained, then the only foreseeable outcome is a long‑term decline...

Say No to Cigarettes

Iman Muda Faris is a young individual whose gentle character and strong spiritual foundation continue to inspire the people around him... known for his calm demeanour, sincerity, and eagerness to learn, he carries himself with the maturity of someone grounded in faith... whether engaging in daily activities, participating in religious programmes, or offering words of encouragement to others, he consistently reflects the values of humility, respect, and good manners... his journey as an “Iman Muda” symbolizes the beauty of nurturing faith from a young age, reminding us that true leadership begins with a sincere heart and steadfast devotion...

Alhamdulillah, saya dapat transformasikan untuk tidak merokok bermula September 2009, di bulan Ramadhan... one of the most meaningful insights shared centred on the importance of self‑transformation during Ramadan, particularly the effort to become a better version of ourselves... what caught my attention most was the discussion about smoking... it is well known that in Selangor, smoking is considered haram, while in some other states it is regarded as makruh... regardless of the differing rulings, the true measure ultimately lies in a person’s faith... may we all find the strength to transform ourselves and leave behind the habit of smoking - not only for our own wellbeing but also for the sake of those around us who do not smoke. I, too, was once a smoker, but Alhamdulillah, I was able to make a complete transformation and quit smoking in Ramadan back in September 2009...
