Zakat Fitrah 2026

I paid RM100 for zakat fitrah this year, which is RM25 per person for basmati rice... the zakat fitrah payment was made to an officially appointed amil, Mr. Khairul Anuar Bin Ahmad, who serves as an authorized agent of UNITAR Capital Sdn Bhd, through Zakat Selangor... this ensured that the payment was carried out in a proper, transparent, and Shariah‑compliant manner, in accordance with the regulations set by the religious authorities...

Back to Work

after an extended period of hospitalization leave, I officially returned to the office today... UNITAR has since implemented a new clock‑in and clock‑out system through BrioHR, marking a fresh operational change for staff... BrioHR is a modern human resource management system designed to streamline workplace administration through a user‑friendly digital platform... it integrates key HR functions such as clock‑in and clock‑out tracking, attendance monitoring, leave management, and employee records, helping organizations improve efficiency, transparency, and accuracy in daily operations... by adopting BrioHR, UNITAR is able to manage workforce processes more systematically while supporting a structured and accountable working environment...

in addition, my workstation has been relocated to a new desk area, where I spent time organizing and settling into the new space... with this return, I begin my work journey for the year on a meaningful note, as my first day back coincides with 1st of Ramadhan, symbolizing a renewed start both professionally and spiritually...

during Ramadhan, the designated working hours require staff to clock in before 8:30 am and clock out at 4:30 pm as part of the adjusted schedule... however, on this occasion, clocked in at 8:30 am and clocked out at 5:00 pm, aligning with operational needs while ensuring work responsibilities were fully completed within the day... today, I clocked in at 7:15 am and clocked out at 4:38 pm, marking a full and productive workday... the schedule reflected a smooth return to routine, allowing me to settle into my tasks and maintain a steady workflow throughout the day...

Rabbana 9

reciting Rabbana 9 refers to the supplication from the Al-Quran in which believers humbly ask Allah SWT to keep their hearts firm upon guidance and to grant them mercy from His boundless grace... this dua is often recited as a reminder of human vulnerability and the constant need for divine guidance, especially during moments of reflection and worship... by reciting Rabbana 9, one reaffirms dependence on Allah SWT, seeking steadfast faith, spiritual clarity, and protection from deviation after having been guided to the truth...

  1. accept our supplication... indeed, You are the All‑Hearing, the All‑Knowing...
  2. do not punish us if we forget or make a mistake...
  3. do not burden us with what we are unable to bear...
  4. do not let our hearts deviate after You have guided us...
  5. forgive our sins and our excesses in our affairs...
  6. grant judgment between us and our people with truth and justice...
  7. pour upon us patience, and let us die in a state of submission (as Muslims) to You...
  8. do not make us a target of persecution for the wrongdoing people...
  9. forgive me, my parents, and all the believers...

Follow-Up

I attended a follow‑up appointment with Dr. Liew, arriving at Ara Damansara at 9:30 am... upon arrival, I completed the registration process and had blood samples taken as part of the routine assessment... the consultation with Dr. Liew took place at 11:10 am, allowing for a thorough review of my condition and progress...

the blood test results indicate that most of the key health markers are within normal and healthy ranges, reflecting good overall metabolic, liver, and kidney function... the glucose level (5.0 mmol/L) is normal, suggesting good blood sugar control... the lipid profile shows very low total cholesterol (2.5 mmol/L) and LDL cholesterol (1.1 mmol/L), which are favourable for heart health, although the HDL cholesterol (0.9 mmol/L) is slightly below the optimal range and could be improved with lifestyle measures such as regular physical activity... triglycerides (1.0 mmol/L) are within the normal range.

electrolytes such as sodium (140 mmol/L) and chloride (107 mmol/L) are normal, while potassium (5.6 mmol/L) is mildly elevated and may require monitoring, especially in the context of medications or kidney function... kidney markers show normal creatinine (88 µmol/L) and a good eGFR of 89 ml/min/1.73m², indicating preserved kidney function... liver health is also reassuring, with ALT at 25 U/L, which is well within the normal range... overall, the results are largely reassuring, with only minor values that may warrant observation rather than immediate concern...

Dr. Liew prescribed a 4‑month course of medication as part of a comprehensive treatment plan aimed at protecting the heart, controlling blood sugar levels, managing cholesterol, and preventing gastric complications... Pantoprazole (Pantor) 40 mg, taken once daily before breakfast, helps reduce stomach acid and protects the stomach lining, especially important when long‑term antiplatelet medications are used... CASprin 100 mg (Aspirin) and Clopidogrel 75 mg are taken every morning to prevent blood clots by reducing platelet aggregation, which is crucial for cardiovascular protection, particularly after stent placement or in patients with heart disease...

for diabetes management, Ryzodeg insulin is administered at 16 IU in the morning and evening, combining fast‑acting insulin aspart with long‑acting insulin degludec to provide both immediate and sustained blood glucose control throughout the day... this is complemented by Jardiance Duo (Empagliflozin 12.5 mg + Metformin 1000 mg) taken twice daily, which works by improving insulin sensitivity, reducing glucose production, and promoting glucose excretion through the urine, thereby enhancing overall glycaemic control and offering additional cardiovascular benefits...

lastly, Rosuvastatin 20 mg, taken before sleep, is used to lower LDL cholesterol and stabilize blood vessel plaques, significantly reducing the risk of future cardiovascular events... together, this medication regimen supports heart health, metabolic control, and long‑term disease prevention through a balanced and targeted approach...

the total cost of the prescribed medications for the 4‑month period amounts to RM2,853.20, which is approximately RM713.30 per month... in addition, laboratory charges total RM157, medical record service fees are RM5, and consultation fees amount to RM105... altogether, the overall cost comes to RM3,120.20, and the expenses are claimable under Prudential, providing financial relief for the ongoing treatment and follow‑up care...

my next follow‑up appointment with Dr. Liew has been scheduled for 5 June 2026... this upcoming consultation will allow for a review of my progress, blood results, and response to the current medication plan, ensuring that my treatment continues to move in the right direction...
