LBS Annual Dinner 2017

I had the opportunity to accompany my wife, representing her legal firm, to the prestigious LBS Annual Dinner held at the Grand Lagoon Ballroom of Sunway Resort Hotel and Spa in Petaling Jaya... the evening brought together professionals, partners, and invited guests in an elegant setting, marked by warm hospitality, lively entertainment, and a celebratory atmosphere... it was a memorable occasion that not only honoured the achievements of the year but also provided a meaningful space for networking and strengthening professional ties within the LBS community...

Little Chef Abyana

little Chef is an engaging initiative designed to introduce Abyana to the exciting world of cooking, encouraging creativity, confidence, and hands‑on learning in the kitchen... through fun, guided activities, Abyana were given the opportunity to explore basic culinary skills, experiment with ingredients, and understand the importance of food preparation in a safe and enjoyable environment... this early exposure not only nurtures their interest in cooking but also helps develop essential life skills such as teamwork, responsibility, and independence - all while having fun like real little chefs...

I had the pleasure of meeting Syed Fadilah Bin Syed Alias (Naja's relative nephew), who his daughter has recently joined UNITAR as a student in the Foundation in Management programme... enrolling under the matric number MC171005067, she now embarks on an exciting academic journey, stepping into a new environment filled with opportunities for growth and discovery... this moment marked a meaningful family connection, as well as a proud beginning to Syarifah Nabilah further education at UNITAR... 

FCT Orientation Highlights

as part of the orientation programme for the October 2017 semester, I was assigned to introduce the Faculty of Culinary and Tourism to the new cohort of students... the orientation provided an important platform to welcome them, highlight the faculty’s academic strengths, and share insights into the exciting opportunities within the culinary and tourism fields... this introductory session not only familiarized students with their academic journey ahead but also helped foster a sense of belonging as they embarked on their first steps into university life...

Steamboat

we enjoyed a cozy family dinner, preparing our own steamboat using fresh vegetables purchased from Cameron Highlands and additional ingredients brought from home... the cool evening air of Tanah Rata made the warm, bubbling steamboat even more comforting, creating the perfect atmosphere for a relaxed and memorable meal together... it was a simple yet delightful family moment, enhanced by the freshness of the produce and the crisp highland weather...

we spent a relaxing day in Tanah Rata, Cameron Highlands, enjoying the cool mountain air and serene natural surroundings... the lush greenery, gentle landscapes, and refreshing climate created the perfect setting for a rejuvenating outdoor experience... our time here offered a peaceful break from the usual routine, allowing us to unwind, explore, and appreciate the beauty of this highland retreat together...

Merdeka Choir Competition

the Merdeka Choir Competition, held in celebration of Malaysia’s Independence Day, brought together young voices united under the theme of national pride and patriotism... Azim proudly represented the Standard 2 cohort of Sekolah Rendah Kebangsaan Puncak Alam 2, showcasing his enthusiasm and spirit... the event not only highlighted the students’ talent and teamwork but also nurtured a deeper appreciation for the meaning of Merdeka among the young participants...

Le Khaokob Cave

Le Khaokob Cave, located in the Huai Yot district of Trang Province, is one of Thailand’s famed unseen natural attractions, celebrated for its dramatic limestone formations and mysterious underground river... the entrance to Le Khaokob Cave involves a unique boat‑ride experience, with an official fee of 150 baht per boat, accommodating up to 5 passengers... this fee includes the services of experienced local boatmen who navigate visitors through the cave’s underground river and its famously low‑ceilinged passage known as the dragon’s belly... managed by local authorities as part of an eco‑tourism initiative, the boat service operates daily from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, offering visitors an accessible and affordable way to explore one of Trang’s most remarkable natural attractions... 




we boarded a traditional rowboat exploring Le Khaokob Cave, guided by experienced local boatmen, carried us gently along the underground river toward the cave’s narrow passages...  












we explored the cave by small rowing boat, gliding through chambers filled with stalactites and stalagmites before reaching the cave’s most thrilling section - Tham Lod, where the ceiling drops so low that we must lie flat to pass beneath it, an experience often described as sliding under the dragon’s belly... this unique journey, combining adventure and natural beauty, makes Le Khaokob Cave a memorable highlight for us seeking an immersive cave exploration experience... 








with the conclusion of our Edutrip, we began our journey back to the UNITAR campus, carrying with us memories and lessons that will remain unforgettable... the experience provided meaningful exposure, strengthened bonds among the participants, and enriched the students’ understanding far beyond the classroom... this Edutrip marks a valuable chapter in their academic and personal growth - one that will be remembered for years to come...
